#2333 CD 131.4 L.G.T. & CO. PAT JAN 25 1870 PAT FEB 22 1870 Aqua.
Produced for L.G. Tillotson & Company by Brookfield. This type insulator was used along the Union Pacific Railroad in Nebraska and Wyoming, and other early communication lines.
Small b-b ding (above "C") is a little larger than a wooden match head. Associated flake is just a touch larger. Large multi-colored pattern in same area is not damage, rather a reflection from the pinhole. Very shallow, pencil eraser flake on reverse wire ridge and associated very hard to see, fingernail halo inside the glass.
A nice looking old timer that should retain about 80-85% of value compared to a very near mint example.
