#2336 CD 136.4 Unmarked. Blue aqua.
Known as the "Canadian Boston," the vast majority of fully threaded CD 136.4 have been found in Canada. However, broken examples have also been found on the route of the Atlantic & Great Western Railway (Erie Railway) which traversed between the mainline Erie at Salamanca, New York, through northwestern Pennsylvania and into southwestern Ohio.
These jewels likely date from the 1870's into the middle or late 1880's.
Fully enclosed bubble in the lower skirt, plus folds and creases on the glass surface add attractive character. Wonderful, thick glass!
Excellent overall condition, especially for this damage prone style! Typically the wire ridges are chipped. Not so with this gem, as there are only two small flakes, each just a touch larger than a wooden match head. Otherwise, only small surface blemishes.
