Description

#2395      CD 106.3      DUQUESNE    GLASS CO.     Aqua.

The Duquesne Glass Company operated a glass factory in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area for a period of time in the early 1900's.  They produced a limited number of communication style insulators, including this "pony" design.

Has four equally spaced ribs on the underside of the lower wire ridge.

The vast majority of insulators produced by other companies were in manufactured in molds that were positioned with bases facing upward, the threaded plunger being inserted from above.  Duquesne insulator production was quite different in that respect... the insulators were formed in an upright position, the threaded mandrel entering from below.

Well defined embossing!

Very near mint+ condition.
