Description

#2454          CD 162      H.G. CO.      PATENT MAY 2 1893.       Bright peacock blue.      Sharp drip points.

Peacock blue signals were used at various locations, primarily in the State of Kansas, where utility companies employed them as special marker insulators on power lines.

Shallow flake up from the base corner (below the "8") is a little larger than a wooden match-head.  Shallow flake on reverse inside base only partially affects one drip point and barely touches another.  Faint bruise up from four drip points on reverse.  The description sounds worse than what the item appears in person!  Quite a nice looking example!
