#2593 CD 485 EIV 147 Dark aqua.
Height: 4-1/2 inches.
A sizable insulator used along a canal in France where large electric operated "tractors" were employed to pull barges in the canal. These large glass insulators were used on poles which supplied the electric power to the tractors.
The aqua "EIV" insulators were later installations which replaced earlier (broken or damaged) examples. Due to limited usage, only about six aqua EIV units were recovered.
Sparkling, very, very near mint condition.
