A rarely encountered color with nice saturation and having a yellow green tone.
Finely detailed, base embossing with additional 1881 and 1883 patent dates. Tall dome with attractive “sno-cone” design.
The ingredients in the glass batches used to make many of the insulators produced for the American Insulator Company likely contained quartz mined near Lyndeborough, New Hampshire, resulting in bright glass with excellent clarity and richness.
All the base embossing is fully intact, and the wire groove remains in great condition for this damage prone style. Finding even an aqua example so nice is a difficult achievement! There's only one match head size flake on the wire ridge, and an even smaller (in the making) open bubble. Fabulous!!!!!
