Description

#2745       CD 251      N.E.G.M. CO.    “PAT JUNE 17 1890”     Green with streaks.

Attractive, banded color separation in the top, exhibiting amber and blue layers in the green glass.

The embossing represents the New England Glass Manufacturing Company.  This design was illustrated in a C.S. Knowles catalogue, suggesting Knowles was a probable supplier of the CD 251 "NEGM" insulator.

Green examples of this type insulator are seldom encountered.

Pinkie nail base flake and 30% of the inner skirt is chipped.  Entire outside area displays great from all angles.
