#2751 CD 267.5 N.E.G.M. CO. Dark emerald green.
Great density in the glass color, resulting in a beautiful, dark emerald green coloration (passes some more light than photo shows).
The "N.E.G.M. CO. marking represents the New England Glass Manufacturing Company.
A large, and very impressive power piece!
The deep saddle groove allowed the heavy copper strand conductor to lay in the groove without the use of a tie wire. The only confirmed usage for this type insulator has been on the mass transit system in the Boston, Massachusetts area.
A 25¢ coin size drippy bubble inside the glass and some milky opaque streaks add character.
A pot stone inside the top of one ear caused uneven cooling, resulting in an annealing "bruise" as seen in the photos. No chips or flakes.
