Description

#2885       CD 196      H.G. CO.       PAT MAY 2 1893.        Dark aqua.

Large, impressive "umbrella" design.  A single piece transposition insulator produced by the Hemingray Glass Company which was known as the "Perfect Transposition" at the time of manufacture.

These can be obtained without great difficulty, but many are damaged a fair amount.  Finding one with no damage or very little damage to the drip points is difficult

Here's an exception.... the top umbrella portion has perfect drip points!  The base has only one drip point which is partially flaked!  Shallow, pinkie nail, surface flake up from base.  Pencil eraser diameter shallow flake up from base.  Quite nice for this type insulator!!!
