Description

#2903        CD 110.5     NAT. INSULATOR CO.      (Four patent dates on base).      Blue aqua.

Regular threads.

The "corkscrew" insulator is quite unusual!  The spiral top was designed to accept a horseshoe shaped clip, which eliminated the need for a tie wire.

Most examples of this uniquely shaped insulator were recovered along the route of a long distance telephone line constructed by American Telephone & Telegraph Company between New York City and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Entire base with all the embossing in excellent condition.  Small nick on the very top spiral is only the size of a wooden match head.   Remainder of insulator in wonderful condition!

Stock photo.  Item offered is nearly identical to the example shown.
