Description

#2923        CD 259      CABLE       OAKMAN  MFG CO.  BOSTON.     (patent dates).       Light aqua.

Bubble hovering in the skirt adds  appeal to this "Roman helmet" type insulator.

Base embossed with fine, precisely executed lettering.  Samuel Oakman was involved with glass production and patenting insulators and other glass related products for a span of several decades.  This type insulator is among the later types produced with Oakman's involvement.

Short, tight line up from base is only 1/2 inch in length.  Some flaking of excess glass at base of pinhole.  Overall, a very nice looking example.

The dark horizontal line extending from the bubble is not damage.  Rather, it's the end of the spiraling thread on the inside of the skirt.

Buy-Now Price: $45.

BUY-NOW lots are subject to the normal 12% buyer premium, added to the Buy-Now price.

Nearly all lots in this event are obtainable using two different purchase methods.  A bidder has the option of bidding on these lots at the current next raise as an auction item.  Or, you may make an instant purchase by clicking the "BUY-NOW" area, positioned just below the green "SUBMIT BID" button.

A reserve has been set on Buy-Now lots.  Once the reserve amount has been met, the Buy-Now option will no longer be available.

Buy-Now and auction purchases will be invoiced via email by mid day Monday, February 20.  Invoices will also be viewable to purchasers on the auction site at that time by clicking the "MY ACCOUNT" tab on the upper portion of the auction page.
