#2949 Unmarked. Lignum Vitae wood.
A circa early 1900's “San Francisco Wooden” insulator which was used on the trolley system in San Francisco, California.
Cable top type. Variant which has an inner skirt.
Still retains a little of the original "municipal green" paint.
Weathered, uncleaned condition. Has a narrow split from base to wire groove on the right side, and another on the reverse that traverses to the above the wire ridge. Chip on top of right ear and another on the right wire ridge.
