#545 CD 268.5 PATENTED AUG. 8. 1893 (skirt). THE STANDARD GLASS INSULATOR CO. BOSTON MASS. (base). Bright blue aqua.
Base embossing has precise, well executed lettering. Of the seven insulator designs known with the "Standard" company marking, this is the rarest and most desirable. Few have been found, and they seldom surface for sale.
A tall and impressive insulator measuring 5-3/8" in height.
Sparkling glass with excellent clarity! Entire outer area remains in exceptional condition! Base is flawless with perfect lettering. Some roughness on the collar at base of the threads, where a shallow, fingernail chip exists. This is on the interior and not detrimental. Bubbles seen near the base in photo are completely enclosed. A beauty!
