#552 CD 151 H.G. CO. PETTICOAT. Green mix.
Quite an unusual mix of colors! The primary color is green with generous amounts of yellow olive impurities swirled throughout. Additionally, milky opaque strings meander through the skirt.
One very interesting feature is a sizable swath of colorless glass in proximity to the milky string, to the right of the "CO." embossing in the first image, and another to the left of the "HG " marking. A large, attractive, hook shaped fold on the outer surface of the glass appears dark in the first image. Second image shows the same colorless area and milky string in the skirt, plus the attractive yellow olive streaking.
Compare this unique and colorful jewel to the scarce, but more obtainable depression glass green CD 151 HG Co.
Wonderful, very near mint+ condition.
Ross Baird collection.
