Description

#986      735      TILLOTSON & CO.      16 BROADWAY N.Y.      Green.

A very scarce color variant!     Much more difficult to obtain than the darker "emerald" examples.

Most 735 Tillotson’s known in the hobby have been found in British Columbia, Canada, along the 1865 segment of the Collins Overland Telegraph Company line, including this gem.

Strong skirt embossing and medium embossing on the dome (all readable and stronger than appears in backlighted photo).

Amber streaks and wisps add a bit of character.

Very near mint+ condition, which is incredible for such a thin, fragile piece of glass which resided underground for many decades in British Columbia's harsh winter weather!

Looking to add another beauty to your colorful Tillotson line-up? This is a great candidate with nice color and exceptional condition!

From the collection of the late John Ayer.
