#1132 CD 145 N.E.G.M. CO. Sapphire blue.
The lettering represents the New England Glass Manufacturing Company, a short lived glass house that was listed in the 1899 Boston City Directory. Very little is known about the company which produced a small number of insulator styles.
The tall, narrow “beehive” design is most often found in aquamarine colored glass. These attractive sapphire blue examples are among the most highly sought.
Nice color density, and the very near mint+ condition.
Update 7:45 P.M. Monday, April 19: Any irregularities in color or shape seen in the photo are not blemishes or damage of any kind. The front of the insulator is flawless, and any irregularities seen are shadows, reflections, fully enclosed bubbles, etc.
