A large, and very impressive power piece with wonderful color!
The "N.E.G.M. CO. marking represents the New England Glass Manufacturing Company.
The saddle groove on this design is extra deep for holding the very large, heavy copper conductor. The only confirmed usage for this type insulator has been on the mass transit system in the Boston, Massachusetts area.
