Description

#1536        CD 133.1       PAT. APP. FOR.     3.          Teal toned Brooke's blue.

Very heavy due to the extra thick dome glass and lower than normal skirt cavity.

Produced using a threading mandrel which was covered in a patent issued on August 14, 1883.  This same threading technique was also used in the production of various insulators with either "Brooke's" or "Patent Applied For" marking on CD 120, 125, 132, 133.1 and the CD 109 and 135 Chicago Insulator Company items.

Attractive, brightly colored glass that's a little different than a typical "Brooke's blue." Sizable bubble in the skirt is completely enclosed.

Exceptional, very near mint+ condition!
