Description

#2010       CD 145       B.       H.G. CO.       PETTICOAT.      B.       Opaque blue aqua.

An attractive jade-like appearance is created by an abundance of milky-opaque impurities throughout the glass.  Close examination reveal tens of thousands of fibrous particles inside the glass, similar in appearance to fiberglass.  Quite an unusual and attractive quality!

Few similar examples exist.

Found on a pole along a railroad in the Upper Midwest portion of the US many years ago.  A handful of others were also discovered, but all had far less opaqueness than this beauty.  So many opaque fibers are present, the threads are almost not visible when viewed for the outside.

Spectacular, very near mint+ condition!
