Description

#2210      CD 126.3      W. BROOKFIELD    45 CLIFF ST.  N.Y.      PAT JAN 25 1870.        Swirled light aqua.

An abundance of olive-amber impurities twist and swirl throughout the entire insulator, creating a very attractive beauty!  The heaviest concentration is perfectly positioned in the front, creating wonderful eye-appeal.

Swirls like these sometimes appear in CD 126 Brookfield insulators, but we don't recall ever seeing a swirled CD 126.3.  The light aqua glass contrasts extremely well with the nicely saturated, olive amber impurities.

This design was known as the "American Union" type, named after the American Union Telegraph Company which used quantities of the CD 126.3.

You couldn't ask for anything more... the embossing is large and bold, the swirls are quite dramatic, and the condition is superb!  No chips, flakes or dings.  Just some signs of use with light wire abrasion in the wire groove area.

Wow!!!
