Description

#2308         CD 151       N.A.T. CO.       H.G. CO.      PATD MAY 2ND 1893.      Bright peacock blue.

Very bright coloration with some attractive milky-opaque patches and streaks.  The opaqueness is fairly pronounced, creating an impressive overall translucent appearance.

Produced by the Hemingray Glass Company for the North American Telegraph Company.  Communication lines owned by the North American Telegraph Company were operated in the upper Midwest.  Peacock blue examples of the CD 151 have been found primarily in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Drip points on the inner skirt are excellent!  Drip points on the outer skirt are all excellent with the exception of one, which is only partially flaked on the inside.   Small match head flake on the left side (upper) wire ridge and a paper thin match head flake on the reverse skirt edge.

Just one drip point on the outer skirt is only partially flaked.  Shallow (does not go through) pinkie nail chip on outside surface of inner skirt removes two drip points.  Entire outer area displays perfect from all sides.
