Description

#2833        CD 120       C.E.W.       Dark cobalt blue.

One of only a handful known in this impressive, rich, dark coloration.

A pony style insulator produced for the California Electrical Works of San Francisco, California, circa late 1870's.  At least three in this beautiful color were found in Nevada.  One may have also surfaced in British Columbia, Canada.

There is some repair on this example.  An old resin repair at the base starts from the far right in the first photo and continues around to the reverse (see second photo).  There are some small surface blemishes which can be seen in the first photo.  The insulator has also been clear coated.

Priced at about 1/4 or 1/5 the value of a very near mint example.

Buy-Now Price: $2500.

BUY-NOW lots are subject to the normal 12% buyer premium, added to the Buy-Now price.

Nearly all lots in this event are obtainable using two different purchase methods.  A bidder has the option of bidding on these lots at the current next raise as an auction item.  Or, you may make an instant purchase by clicking the "BUY-NOW" area, positioned just below the green "SUBMIT BID" button.

A reserve has been set on Buy-Now lots.  Once the reserve amount has been met, the Buy-Now option will no longer be available.

Buy-Now and auction purchases will be invoiced via email by mid day Monday, February 20.  Invoices will also be viewable to purchasers on the auction site at that time by clicking the "MY ACCOUNT" tab on the upper portion of the auction page.
