#2967 CD 151 H.G. CO. PETTICOAT. Depression glass green.
Excellent glass clarity and unusual coloration make these old Hemingray products popular with collectors. Some were found on the “Rock Island” railroad right of way in Iowa many years ago.
An insulator that's seldom available to collectors.
The Hemingray Glass Company manufactured various products besides insulators, including wares such as lamps. Sometimes large glass batches initially created for lamps and other products were used in insulator production. Likely, that's the case with these "depression glass" green units, which have been found in very limited numbers.
An area of very shallow flaking on the upper wire ridge is only half pinkie nail size. Another very shallow flake is only the size of a match head. Very nice condition for this damage prone design!!!
