#226 740 E. DUPONT. ST. JEAN. Green. Base embossed.
The Dupont threadless insulators are rarely encountered. Produced circa 1850's, they are found in blackglass and varying hues of green.
Skirt chip as outlined in the second photo. Flat base chip (seen below the skirt chip) removes nearly all of "Dupont." Remainder of base and embossing is excellent.
