Description

#227     718     Unmarked.      Light blue.

Canadian mold variant with recessed area on top portion of the upper wire ridge.  This type insulator was produced in a vast rainbow of colours, with numerous blue hues known.  A pastel shade that's much scarcer than the aqua units.  Come to think of it, even aqua examples have become challenging to locate these days!

Pinkie nail chip on the upper wire ridge is shown in the second photo.  Very shallow "flake" on the base, half the width of a fingernail and 7/8" in length, with the glass still intact.  Otherwise, only minor surface blemishes.  A nice looking example in a scarce colour.

From the collection of the late John Ayer.
