Description

#290       G.N.W. TEL. CO.       Dark royal purple.

A beautiful dark purple coloration in this "beehive" style insulator produced for the Great North Western Telegraph Company.

The dome slumps a little to the left, resulting in a somewhat narrower wire groove on that side.  A touch of character!

Open base bubble.  No real damage to report, grading very near mint+.
