#421 734 MC MICKING VICTORIA B.C. 75 Aqua.
Robert McMicking was one of the "Overlanders" who travelled from eastern Canada to the West in the 1860's. He was employed on the "Collins" line in British Columbia, and later became involved with other areas of the communication industry. Most McMicking insulators now in collections were recovered at two locations along the North Thompson River in British Columbia. They were part of the materials left behind in the mid 1870's when an attempt to construct a cross Canada land line was abandoned.
Shallow base bruise can be seen beneath the "McM" in the photo. Otherwise, very near mint.
BUY-NOW option removed once the reserve price was met.
Buy-Now and auction purchases will be invoiced by email prior to 12 noon, Tuesday, June 2. Invoices will also be viewable to purchasers on the auction site at that time.
