#514 CD 260 CALIFORNIA Yellow.
By itself, this one looks "yellow." However, compared to Lot #515, this one has more "ginger ale" tone.
"California" is "ghost" embossed quite strongly above the regular skirt lettering.
Nearly all “California” and “C.G.I.” insulators produced at the Long Beach factory were made in offbeat colors not typical to other manufacturers. Very little “aqua” glass was used in production runs. Rather a wide range of burgundy, rose amethyst, yellow, peach, smoke and sage tints were created.
Two lehr "touch marks" on the reverse from coming in contact with another surface when produced at the factory. One is wooden match head size, the other pencil eraser diameter. Tips of both ears have some (unnecessary) repair to flaking at the edges.
An abundance of dome glass is a big "plus!"
