Description

#776      CD 151      N.A.T. CO.     H.G. CO.   PATENT MAY 2ND 1893.      PETTICOAT.      Bright peacock blue.

Produced by the Hemingray Glass Company for the North American Telegraph Company.  Communication lines owned by the North American Telegraph Company were operated in the upper Midwest.  Peacock blue examples of the CD 151 have been found primarily in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota, a fairly high percentage of them along the route of the old Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad.

Excellent brightness and color saturation!

A shallow surface chip (flake-like) starts at the base and traverses to the upper portion of the front skirt.  Average width is that of an index fingernail, removing the "TD" and the left leg of the "H."  Shallow, side-by-side flakes on the upper wire ridge measure a total distance of one inch (to the right in first photo).  Shallow flakes on the underside of the upper wire ridge can be seen at far left and far right in the second photo.  Seven drip points removed on the inner skirt.  Outer drip points - one is removed and some others flaked, but, as the photos show, the outer drip points display pretty well from both sides.
