#803 CD 203 ZICME Purple.
Insulators of various styles were produced in Columbia, perhaps the most widely known among collectors are the CD 154 embossed “Zicme” and the unembossed CD 1050 spools. Limited numbers of the CD 203 with Zicme marking have also been found. This is one of the nicer examples with excellent color saturation, and very thick glass at the top. The entire dome and upper wire groove are solid glass.
Condition is also a key factor with the 203’s, this one remaining nicer than most. A flat chip on the underside of the lower wire ridge is the width of a dime, but longer. Additionally, a shallow flake on the upper wire ridge is half fingernail size. A beauty!
