#1005      CD 145      I       AM. INSULATOR CO. N.Y.    DOUBLE PETTICOAT
PATD SEPT. 13,1881,   NOV. 13 1883,   FEB.12, 1884.       Green.

Produced using Samuel Oakman’s collapsible threading plunger. This process was one of many clever inventions by Oakman, and undoubtedly helped to speed the process of removing the threading plunger once the insulator was pressed.

The "beehive" style was produced for the American Insulator Company in an array of various attractive colors.
