Most examples of this uniquely shaped insulator currently in collections were recovered along the route of a long distance telephone line constructed by American Telephone & Telegraph Company between New York City and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Chip on lower wire ridge (center of photo) is a touch over 1/2 pinkie nail size. Flake on base edge (1/3 pinkie nail size) removes one numeral and the tip of another.
