#1415 CD 135 CHI. INS. CO. PATD OCT 16 1883. Blue aqua.
The larger size "Chicago Diamond Groove" with shoulder embossing. A uniquely designed insulator with diamond shaped cutouts within the body, creating less contact between the tie wire and the insulator surface.
Regular aqua and bluish examples have been found in New York State, Illinois and Nebraska. Some were also seen on poles in Panama many years ago. However, the majority of those now in collections were recovered in Mexico.
