#1484 CD 196 NO 51 H.G. CO. PAT MAY 2 1893. Medium-dark teal aqua.
Large impressive "umbrella" design. A single piece transposition insulator produced by the Hemingray Glass Company.
Examples with the additional "No 51" marking are scarcer and more desirable to collectors than those lacking the extra lettering.
Especially attractive color, having teal tones which gives the glass extra brightness and vibrancy. Appealing creases on the dome spiral in a whirlpool pattern, adding desirable character.
NO damage found on any of the drip points, and overall very near mint+. which is phenomenal for such a damage prone style!!!!! An incredible example!
