#1580 U-376C Unmarked. Brown porcelain.
A large insulator measuring 5 inches by 4-1/2 inches. Produced with a specially recessed pinhole, designed to accept a locking mechanism patented in 1901 by Harry Ethridge.
Only a limited number of these impressive insulators have been found, and they are seldom available for purchase.
The light area shown on the right ear is a thinly glazed area, not damage. Has a little wear on the skirt surface. Very old, shallow chip on the inside, near the pinhole.
