A rather large and very impressive power glass insulator from the Boston area mass transit system. That's the only location these "straight side cables" are known to have been used.
This blue beauty contrasts quite well with other examples in various green shades/tones.
More blue than photo shows.
Top of the saddle groove is dull from contact with the heavy conductor. Remainder of insulator is very near mint.
