#2359 CD 293 FRED M. LOCKE VICTOR NY. (patent dates) Amethyst.
Examples of this type insulator were discovered in Louisiana many years ago. Various color shades/tones were present in the discovery, ranging from grayish to amethyst. This example has fairly strong amethyst coloration in comparison to others.
The Locke - Victor embossing is medium strength and all readable. Embossed dates and "Patents Pending" is weak and mostly readable.
Inner skirts are both in excellent condition. Shallow flake next to saddle groove is the width of an index fingernail but a little longer. Fairly flat chip on dome corner is the size of a 25¢ coin. Remainder of insulator is excellent. A little damage, but nearly all examples have some form of chipping or other damage, this one ranking better than many.
Very attractive color!
