#2752 CD 293 FRED M. LOCKE VICTOR NY. (patent dates) Grayish amethyst.
Examples of this type insulator were discovered in Louisiana many years ago.
Not many North American power glass insulators were produced in amethyst coloration. The various styles manufactured for Locke were typically aqua or green, so this heavy brut is unusual.
The large Locke - Victor embossing is all present and readable. Some of the embossing with patent dates is faint and remainder not discernible.
Chip starts at the lower portion of the saddle groove edge and extends to middle of the lower wire groove (see small white dots in photo for outline). Remainder of insulator in excellent condition. Displays very close to mint from the embossed side.
