#2857 CD 303-310 HEMINGRAY PATENT MAY 2 1893 MUNCIE TYPE NO 76 Rich blue.
Beautiful rich, dark color! Although examples of this impressive insulator are sometimes called "Hemingray blue," this is not the same color as a "Hemingray blue" Mickey Mouse insulator. This color has a teal tinge to it, and is especially impressive!
A very large power glass insulator measuring 12" in height. Quantities of Muncie insulators were used in Montana. Some, with an additional "No 76" embossing, like this one, were also used in Kansas.
Only two drip points are partially flaked. Pinkie nail flake at edge of saddle, and a smaller mark on the opposite edge. Chipping on the very inside, at base of threaded pinhole. Overall, this is quite a fine example, with all of the minor exterior damage not very visible.
Wonderful color!!!!!
Stock photo. Item offered is similar to the example shown. Darker and more impressive than this stock photo depicts.
