#3070 Unmarked. Iron and white porcelain.
An early type insulator, dating to circa 1860's.
Very similar to the previous two lots, the iron cover formed in one piece, having a large plate molded to the back. The plate has three holes for anchoring the insulator. The back on this one and the previous Lot #3069 have a concave back for mounting on a round pole.
Wonderful overall condition, the iron remaining free of any surface rust and the white porcelain interior remaining completely undamaged.
