Description

#3124-A       CD 162       H.G. CO.       PATENT MAY 2 1893        Light green with amber.

An abundance of well pronounced amber swirls dominate much of the insulator.  The presence of amber impurities throughout creates an overall green tone to what was originally aqua glass.

Similar examples were found near Nevada, Ohio on what was once known as the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne & Chicago Railway.  Extending from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Chicago, this was one of the key rail lines in the Pennsylvania Railroad system.

From the lower portion of the dome, all the way to the base, well pronounced amber swirls are evenly distributed all the way around the insulator.  Quite a beauty!

One drip point near the "P" did not fill out completely due to an open bubble and an adjacent one has a nearly fully enclosed bubble, as seen in both photos (factory produced).  Three drip points near the "3" have a super shallow bruise where they join the base (not visible when viewed setting on a shelf).  Very clean, b-b ding on reverse dome.   Overall, a very nice looking example from all angles.
