#3246-B CD 256 MANHATTAN "PATENTED JUNE 17 1890." Olive toned green with amber.
A small cable style insulator with a large saddle groove. This design was illustrated in a C.S. Knowles catalogue, as shown in the third photo. Knowles was a large electrical supply company, based out of Boston, Massachusetts.
Attractive coloration! There's more olive toning than is typical in green units, and the ears have sizable, pure amber patches. An outstanding example!
Likely produced in Elmer, New Jersey during the early 1900's.
Very near mint+ condition.
