#3256 CD 102 N.W.&.B.I.T. CO. Light amethyst.
Produced for the New Westminster & Burrard Inlet Telephone Company, which operated telephone lines in the general vicinity of Vancouver, British Columbia. Various colour examples can be found in these scarce pony style insulators. The amethyst units range from nearly colorless to a rich, darker amethyst shade.
Like most NW&BIT ponies, this jewel has plenty of thick dome glass!
Very near mint+ condition.
Lots #3254 through #3258 are shown in the second photo.
Update: 11:15 A.M, Thursday, October 5. There is obvious evidence of letters and punctuation being blotted out on the reverse skirt, including a raised "comma" still present. This is where earlier engraving for "NESS, McLAREN & BATE" was removed.
