A rarely encountered color for this pony style insulator with "CEW" embossing.
Typically found in aquamarine coloration, the purple units are quite elusive. Only a very small number were found decades ago. A handful of examples were discovered on a line route in Hawaii many years ago. Unfortunately nearly all of them were broken from exposure to a fire through the area.
Broken into several pieces, the insulator was reassembled and glued. Only one small piece was missing, which included the area comprising the letter "W." That small area was filled with resin, which has since discolored.
A specimen that can likely be purchased for a mere fraction of the cost of a very near mint example.
