Description

#3268        CD 121       PAT'D SEPT 19TH 1899.       Light green.

The "pleats" on the skirt are an interesting feature patented by Frederick Withycombe.  Likely produced at a glass factory in Elmer, New Jersey which operated in the early 1900's.   Examples were used on communication lines in Missouri, California, Oregon and perhaps other locations.

Most often found in aquamarine colored glass, the green examples are much scarcer.

Lower wire ridge chip caused from an internal pot-stone (see second image).  Pencil eraser diameter base bruise.
