Description

#3273        CD 123       E.C&M CO S.F.       Medium Aurora blue

"B" mold.    4-3/8" height.

The term “Aurora” blue is used by collectors to describe the attractive blue tinted EC&M examples found on the route of a communication line operated by the Nevada & California Telegraph Company between Aurora and Candelaria, Nevada.  They can be found in varying color densities, this example having medium color saturation.  It's lighter than Lot #3235, yet darker than some examples that have been observed.

The "B" mold was among the latest used to produced "EC&M Co." insulators.

Has a couple very thin flakes, each only about the diameter of a pencil eraser diameter.  Base remains in great condition with only minimal flaking.  Few EC&M's are found in this nice of condition!!!!
