#3279       CD 126.4      W.E MFG. CO.      PATENT DEC 19 1871.      W.U.     J       Cornflower blue.

Limited numbers of this attractive blue insulator have been found.  Many of those now in collections were recovered by collectors decades ago along the route of a railroad in Kansas. 

Produced by the Hemingray Glass Company at the Covington, Kentucky factory location for the Western Electric Manufacturing Company.  Western Electric, based in Chicago, was formed in the early 1870's, manufacturing and supplying various electrical apparatus and equipment. 

Bold, well defined embossing!
