A distinctive color with excellent clarity and brilliance, typically associated with the "J" mold H.G. Co. beehives.
A railroad in the state of Kansas is known to have used a number of these colorful "beehive" style insulators, and is likely the source of many examples now in collections. In all likelihood this is one of the Kansas jewels, since it was part of a collection that was assembled in Kansas many decades ago.
