#3320 729 Unmarked. Dark teal green.
A "Compromise" style insulator with concave skirt. The compromise style was introduced in the mid 1860's, and saw extensive use in the form of 729, 731, 732 and other similar, related mold variants. Second image is an 1860's drawing depicting the "Compromise" style.
Examples of the dark teal and dark green 729 have been found in limited numbers, sometimes in Pennsylvania. The areas of Bedford and Chambersburg in that state have produced several of them over the years.
No chips, fractures or other substantial forms of damage. Pencil eraser diameter, open bubble on the wire ridge. Insulator appears to have been dug and had numerous pinhead and match head shallow surface blemishes. Insulator was tumble cleaned, but blemishes are still detectable.
Displays great from all sides!
