#3348 CD 116 JULY 1ST 1882 PAT APPLIED FOR (1871, 1893 dates). Bright medium aqua.
The December 19, 1871 embossing on the dome is evidence this type insulator was created in a reworked mold. The original mold was used to produce CD 121.4 insulators. It was later re-tooled with a second, lower wire ridge and overall stockier build, to create CD 116 insulators.
These are especially difficult to find in excellent condition.... this beauty in much nicer condition than many. Has one drip point only partially flaked and one missing.
